Overview
The Indoor Africa Cup of Nations (IACN), also known as the Indoor Africa Cup (IAC), is the premier continental championship for indoor hockey in Africa.
Organization & Purpose
It is organized by the African Hockey Federation (AfHF) under the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The tournament serves as a key qualifier for the FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup.
The first documented edition was held in 2017 in Swakopmund, Namibia. It features separate men’s and women’s competitions, with the number of participating teams typically ranging from three to four per gender.
Recent Champions
Men’s: South Africa are the most recent champions, having won the 2024 edition.
Women’s: South Africa also won the women’s title in 2024.
Participating Nations
Regular participants include South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana.
